'All of the lights' features an eclectic selection of Kanye's favourite artists at the moment including Rihanna, KiD CuDi, Elton John, who plays the piano line, Alicia Keys, Fergie and Charlie Wilson. The album covers an array of themes such as escapism, sex, wealth and self-acceptance. The album takes us on a personal journey with Kanye West in which he shares his moments of self-doubt in 'Lost in the world' which samples Bon Iver's 'Woods', moments of a contrasting self-belief and great sense of achievement in 'Power' as he states that he "do it better than anybody you ever seen do it". The album begins with a narrative opening of 'Dark Fantasy' with Nicki Minaj adapting an English accent mirroring that of Roald Dahl's poetic rework of 'Cinderella'.

The album includes surprise collaborations from huge music artists such as Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Elton John, Rihanna, John Legend, Fergie and up and coming female rap sensation, Nicki Minaj. This is his fifth album which includes US Billboard hits 'Power', 'Monster' and 'Runaway', was anticipated for weeks, shortly after the release of his 'Runaway' 30 minute music video/short film. He reportedly spent hours on end in the studio co-producing this album followed by short naps and more hours dedicated to this masterpiece. Undoubtedly, Mr West's ego is one that no one can compete with right now but after the release of his new album entitled My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy it is perfectly clear why. Kanye West has never been one to think before he speaks or even attempt to sugar coat his obnoxious opinions he's offended presidents, music artists and people very close to him.
